Juan Manuel Mendoza is head of Asian equities at Credit Suisse Asset Management. Mendoza started his career in US equity sales at Salomon Smith Barney in 1997. In 1999, he moved to Bank Julius Baer as an assistant vice president. Mendoza joined Credit Suisse (formerly Clariden Leu) in 2006. He holds an MBA in Corporate Finance from the Goizueta Business School at Emory University in Atlanta, USA. Based in Singapore, outside of fund management, he enjoys rugby, skiing, poker and sailing.

Objective

This Equity Fund is actively managed aiming to outperform the return of the MSCI World (NR) benchmark. The portfolio and the performance of the Fund can deviate from the benchmark. The Fund invests at least two-thirds of its asset in equities and equity-type securities worldwide in companies offering luxury and prestige products or services. The Fund may use derivatives to achieve the above aims.
