He joined Sun Alliance in 1996 and in 2002 he moved to GAM where he runs mutual funds alongside institutional mandates. He does not adopt a rigid approach to style, and sees value and growth as not necessarily incompatible. Away form fund management he enjoys tennis.

Objective

The investment objective of the GAM Star Asia-Pacific Equity Fund is to achieve long-term capital appreciation through investing, primarily in quoted equity securities, in companies with principal offices in the Pacific Basin, including Australia, China, Hong Kong, India, Indonesia, Japan, Malaysia, New Zealand, Pakistan, The Philippines, Singapore, South Korea, Sri Lanka, Taiwan and Thailand. The Fund will limit its investments in Pakistan and in Sri Lanka, so that, in each case, its aggregate investment does not exceed 10 per cent of its Net Asset Value.
