Matthias Priebs was born in 1963 in Zurich and also studied at the University of Zurich. He is a Chartered European Financial Analyst (CEFA) and a Financial Planning Expert. Matthias began his career in 1993 at Swiss Re as portfolio manager of Asia Pacific equity & bonds. In 2006 he was head of portfolio management at Tareno and between 2001 – 2006 he was held the position of portfolio manager of European equities at Helvetia Insurance. Matthias joined Bank Sarasin in 2007 where he is currently senior portfolio manager of European equities & water portfolios. His interests outside of fund management are skiing, backgammon, cinema and theatre.

Objective

The Sub-Fund aims to achieve long-term capital appreciation by investing predominantly in shares or other equity related instruments of issuers worldwide that promote a sustainable development of the natural resource water.
