Basler Versicherungen and Deutsche AM have started a robo-adviser service together, the firms have announced.
The insurance firm will implement robo technology provided by Deutsche AM in its new product called Baloise MONVISO.
As part of this arrangement Basler Versicherungen will take care of distribution services, while Deutsche AM will be in charge of portfolio management.
During the first stage of the process the clients of the insurance firm will be able to make a tailored fund-based asset allocation.
By the end of 2017 advisers of Basler Versicherungen will also be able to use the new platform.
The allocation process will be based on data analysis provided by the chief strategist at Deutsche AM, Stefan Kreuzkamp, who taps the expertise of 600 analysts.
The clients of Basler Versicherungen will not be restricted to the passive and active products of the German firm and will be able to invest in products from other providers.
This is the latest co-operation between the German asset manager and Swiss firms. In May 2017 Zug-based robo-adviser Decartes Finance became a user of the actively managed ETF portfolios at Deutsche AM.
