Bern-based Finecapital has relocated its main office to Zurich and engaged two new partners, the firm has announced.
The move reflects the company’s decision to concentrate its investment activities in one of the biggest financial hubs in Switzerland and a drive to strengthen its wealth management offering.
One of the newcomers is Adrian Wenzel, who was the founding partner and CIO of asset management firm ENISO Partners and a former Citywire Switzerland cover star.
During his time at the firm he developed systematic investment approaches for the firm's investment funds, including ENISO Forte CH SMI Expanded.
Prior to joining ENISO Partners he used to be head of Swiss equity asset management at Bank Sarasin and Swiss equity portfolio manager at Baloise Asset Management.
The second hire, Mark Schindler, has joined the firm after being a director at StepStone/SwissCapital, where he was in charge of macro/commodities hedge funds.
Previously he was a portfolio manager of discretionary mandates for UHNW clients at UBS Wealth Management.
Wenzel and Schindler will build up the asset management capabilities of the firm as well as advising institutional clients.
Finecapital is also awaiting regulatory approval of its new Swiss real estate fund, which is set to be launched at the end of the first quarter of 2018.
