BlackRock’s Switzerland country chief, Christian Staub, is leaving to join Fidelity International as managing director of continental Europe.

In his stead, Michael Burch the current COO of Switzerland will take on the role of interim country head of Switzerland as a temporary replacement, according to a BlackRock spokesperson.

Burch will assume the role in addition to his current responsibilities.

Fidelity International said Staub would be be succeeding Jon Skillman in his role and, as of 6 August 2018, also assume a role on the company's Global Operating Committee.

Staub had been heading BlackRock’s DACH region for four years, previously working at PIMCO and Allianz Asset Management.

His predecessor in the role, Jon Skillman, will move to manage Fidelity's global workplace investing sector.
