A French subsidiary of Geneva-based Bordier & Cie is expanding to Brittany, the private bank has announced.
Bordier & Cie (France) opened its first office in Paris in 2006 and now is building up presence in Brest and Rennes.
This is part of the bank’s effort to offer clients personalised asset management as well as legal and tax advice.
In order to support the business in Brittany Bordier & Cie (France) has hired two private bankers with many years of experience in the industry.
Bernard Bergot is now the head of the Brittany region. Before joining the private bank he worked at KBL Richelieu Banque Privée in Brest, where he developed portfolios in Brittany as director of private clients.
Prior to that he also worked at CIC Banque Privée and Crédit Agricole in Finistère.
Another hire is Philippe Le Guernevé, who will be based in Rennes and will work as a senior private banker and a deputy director of the Brittany region.
Like Bergot he also used to work at KBL Richelieu Banque Privée and was an employee at Arkéa Banque Privée from 2010 to 2014.
