Aargau Cantonal Bank (AKB) has appointed Patrick Küng as a member of the executive board, amid a ‘strategic reorientation’ of the bank.
In his new capacity, Küng will head up the new Corporate Clients and Institutional Banking division of the cantonal bank.
Küng joined the bank in October 2016, serving as deputy head of private and corporate clients, and will assume the new position on 15 May 2017.
He started his career at the New Aargauer Bank, where he spent 19 years.
The new appointment comes soon after the cantonal bank announced plans to reorganise its structure with the creation of five distinct business units.
These include Corporate Banking, the Corporate Clients and Institutional Banking division, the Private Customers and Private Banking arm, Customer Solutions, and Finance and Credit.
The new organisation puts a focus on its private and corporate customer business.
