Credit Suisse launches multi-asset fund for new hire

Credit Suisse has launched a new multi-asset fund, Citywire Switzerland can reveal.

The new multi-asset strategy is officially called the CS (Lux) Capital Allocation Fund and invests mainly in bonds and equities.

Aram Compton and Vedran Stankovic have been named as the fund's managers. Compton joined Credit Suisse from the London-based Sarasin & Partners in September 2017.

He is now head of multi-asset unconstrained funds in the balanced solutions team at Credit Suisse Asset Management.

He was previously a lead manager on a number of global multi-asset portfolios at Sarasin & Partners, including the GlobalSar range, of which the key strategy was JSS GlobalSar – Balanced (CHF).

The CS (Lux) Capital Allocation Fund is Compton's only strategy at the moment, as none of his funds transferred from Sarasin & Partners to Credit Suisse.

Vedran Stankovic is a senior portfolio manager of multi-asset unconstrained funds at Credit Suisse. He started with the team in 2017 after moving across from global convertible bonds, where he was the lead manager of the Credit Suisse (Lux) AgaNola Global Convertible Bond fund.

He is currently focusing on the management of the new fund, while his former convertible bond strategy is now being managed by Lukas Buxtorf from AgaNola and Rossitza Haritova from Credit Suisse.

Stankovic is currently focusing on trade ideas generation, using fundamental research of investment grade and high yield issuers, special situations and capital structure arbitrage.

The CS (Lux) Capital Allocation Fund will include between 100 and 150 securities and is broadly diversified across different asset classes, regions and companies.

Its main sources of alpha are high concentration, unconstrained approach and cross-capital analysis.

It targets a return of 3-month LIBOR + 5% per annum over a full market cycle while preserving a balanced risk profile.
