Credit Suisse reshuffles Multi Asset Class team after selector exit

Credit Suisse has appointed Andreas Müller to serve as lead manager on emerging market solutions within its Global Multi Asset Class Solutions team following the exit of Andreas Hecker.

Hecker formally resigned from the Zurich-based fund selection team at the start of the year but did not step down until the end of April.

He had been with the company since 2002, having first worked in its Frankfurt office and then assuming a senior portfolio manager role in Zurich in 2009.

Hecker (pictured), along with Christian Faerber and Marco Sohm, was featured as a cover star in Citywire Global magazine in February 2014.

Faerber and Sohm remain with the Global Multi Asset Class Solutions (MACS) team. Faerber continue to serve as head of fund mandates. Faerber oversees fixed income assets, while Sohm is responsible for equities.

Müller joins the team with an emphasis on emerging markets and has been with the group since 2005, having worked in Zurich and Australia. Most recently, he was working as a senior portfolio manager within the company’s in-house fund of funds team.

Speaking to Citywire Global, Faerber said ‘Andreas has moved across internally and this is a good fit for us. From that point of view there has been not much change to the way we operate and Andreas and Andreas Hecker worked together on the transition before the departure.’
