Henderson Global Investors has added two specialists to its Asian equities team in Singapore.
Wee May Ling, who joins as investment manager, supports portfolio manager Charlie Awdry in managing the Henderson Horizon China fund and the Henderson China Opportunities Fund as a deputy portfolio manager.
Wee joins from Lloyd George Management in Hong Kong, where she managed Greater China equities.
The second appointment is of Mervyn Koh, who has been named associate investment manager. He joins from Franklin Templeton Investments where he served as vice president of emerging markets.
Both hires, which are effective October 1, will report to Andrew Gillan, head of Asia ex-Japan equities.
Henderson Global Investors managed $129.1 billion in assets globally at the end of June.
