French boutique bolsters Euro equity fund line-up after star exit

Tocqueville Finance has assigned mid-cap specialist Alexandre Voisin as a co-manager on its European value equity fund following the exit of Citywire A-rated Don Fitzgerald.

Fitzgerald left the Paris-based group to join rival firm DNCA Finance over the summer to form part of its European equity team.

In his new capacity, mid-cap specialist Voisin will support existing lead manager Daniel Fighiera on the €208 million Tocqueville Value Europe fund.

Citywire + rated manager Fighiera has been co-lead on the France-domiciled fund since July 2012, having worked with Fitzgerald up to his departure.

Meanwhile, Voisin joined from La Banque Postale Asset Management in October 2014 and was immediately handed responsibilities across three funds covering European, eurozone and French equity markets.

These are the Tocqueville PME, which he co-runs alongside Didier Roman and Matthieu Tassy, as well as working on TOCQUEVILLE Odyssee alongside Roman and the Tocqueville Megatrends fund with Nelly Davies.

The Tocqueville Europe Value fund returned 64.5% over the three years to the end of August 2015. This compares with a rise of 47.1% by its Citywire-assigned benchmark, the FTSE World Europe TR, over the same period.
