Eurizon Capital, the asset management arm of the Italian bank Intesa San Paolo, has opened a commercial office in Switzerland and has named Manuel Dalla Corte as country head.
Dalla Corte previously worked at Aviva Investors, Lombard Odier and UBS Wealth Management.
The new structure will be co-ordinated by the Luxemourg-based branch of Eurizon Capital, where the CEO is Marco Bus.
The new Swiss office was established as part of Intesa San Paolo Group’s 2018-2021 expansion plans.
Head of sales and client management at Eurizon Capital, Gabriele Miodini, said: ‘We have opted to grow our business in certain strategic European countries through the establishment of local branches.
'We believe that our presence in the field represents the best approach for penetrating these markets, as it facilitates relations with domestic institutional customers.’
Eurizon is also strengthening its presence in Germany by hiring a new senior sales manager and has started the authorisation process to open a commercial branch in Spain.
