Lombard Odier IM’s global chief investment officer, Jan Straatman, has announced plans to retire at the end of the year.
The global CIO has been with the group since 2012 and is responsible for developing Lombard Odier IM’s multi-boutique structure, with individual CIOs leading each division.
As he prepares to step down, Straatman’s responsibilities will be gradually handed over to the CIOs leading Lombard Odier IM’s investment boutiques over the course of the year.
In his retirement, he will continue as an adviser to Lombard Odier IM on the funds board.
Prior to working at Lombard Odier IM, Straatman held the position of CIO at ING Investment Management, Pearl Holding Group, ABP Investments and Achmea Asset Management.
Commenting on his time at Lombard Odier IM, CEO Hubert Keller said: ‘Jan’s vision has always been to position Lombard Odier IM as a specialist multi-strategy player providing quality investment solutions for our clients.
‘His hard work, deep understanding of investment processes and risk management, and his very effective management style has considerably helped us to achieve this goal.’
