Lombard Odier has poached Coutts' head of ultra high net worth portfolio management, Mike Edlinger.
After 20 years at Coutts - where he was a permanent member of their Investment Committee - Edlinger will join Lombard Odier as a senior portfolio manager.
Edlinger was additionally responsible for investing both onshore and offshore global discretionary and advisory portfolios.
Commenting on the new hire, Duncan MacIntyre, Lombard Odier UK chief executive, said:
'We’re excited to welcome Mike to Lombard Odier with his extensive experience managing both discretionary and advisory portfolios and impressive track record in retaining client business, as we strengthen our service to clients in London.'
This hire is part of the firm's expansion into the UK. On 24 November the firm announced it hired Michael Le Garignon to head up its Independent Asset Managers division in the UK.
Earlier in October Lombard Odier Investment Managers bolstered its London office with six hires, including the appointment of new chief operating officer, three private bankers, a legal counsel and a wealth planner.
