Luzerner Kantonalbank hires macro economist

Luzerner Kantonalbank has hired Brian Mandt as its new macro economist, the cantonal bank announced on Monday.

Mandt joined the team dedicated to financial analysis on 1 May 2017 and will be reporting to Arno Endres.

He will be responsible for macroeconomic topics such as interest rates, currency and growth forecasts.

Prior to joining the cantonal bank the economist used to work at the International Textile Manufacturers Federation in Zurich. He was also employed in a similar role at Ibec, a Dublin-based business and employer association.

Mandt is a certified international investment analyst and has a degree in economics from University of Bonn.

In January 2017 Christopher Sax, who used to work as a senior economist and deputy head of research at LUKB for six years, joined Migros Bank as chief economist.
