CdR Capital has added five new hires to its Geneva office and one to its team in Dubai.
The Geneva hires include Samy Al-Habal, Sabrina Tazi-Riffi, Philippe Sikias and Caroline Burel, all of whom hail from UBS, along with Bank Safra's Alvaro Mira Blanco.
All of these hires previously worked at Morgan Stanley in Geneva and will be reuniting with ex-Morgan Stanley analyst Manon Duez (pictured left), who previously appeared on the September 2016 cover of Citywire Switzerland.
The Dubai team will gain Nour Tassabehji, who also worked for Morgan Stanley in Geneva, in an effort to strengthen the firm's Middle East footprint.
'Our goal remains to attract talented market-orientated professionals, who work directly with our clients to manage their wealth – luckily for us, one or two American banks closed their Geneva business as we started,' said Omar Ayache, co-founder and managing partner at CdR Capital.
Ayache may have been referring to Morgan Stanley and Goldman Sachs, both of which decided to back out of Geneva in 2016.
