Pfäffikon AM boutique poaches Mirabaud manager

Pfäffikon-based asset management firm Santro Invest has hired an experienced fund manager from Mirabaud, the firm has annouced. 

Patrick Huber, who will formally join as a Swiss equity portfolio manager on 1 May 2017, will be responsible for the firm's flagship Swiss Opportunity Fund.

He will also look after Swiss equities in the institutional mandates.

Prior to joining the firm Huber was a portfolio manager at Mirabaud AM, where he managed Swiss equity mandates.

He was also responsible for both the Mirabaud Fund (CH)-Swiss Equities and Mirabaud - Equities Swiss Small and Mid Cap funds, which he ran with Citywire A-rated Paul Schibli and Nicolas Bürki

Santro Invest said Citywire AA-rated Roger Höhener, who was responsible for the fund over the last twelve months, remains with the firm and will become the member of the board starting from June 2017.

Johannes Borner will continue to be a deputy fund manager on the strategy, as well as continuing to serve as CIO of Santro Invest.

The Swiss Opportunity Fund returned 30.49% in Swiss francs over the three years to the end of March 2017. Its benchmark, the Swiss Performance Index TR, has returned 17.50% over the same timeframe. 

Meanwhile, the Mirabaud Fund (CH)-Swiss Equities returned 16.95% over the same period against the same benchmark.
