Pictet Asset Management has strengthened its alternatives expertise with the appointment of hedge fund group Pine Rival Capital’s former head of European credit, Citywire Switzerland's sister publication Citywire Selector can reveal.
Swiderski has overseen the Alt Ucits – Bond Strategies fund since inception and previously worked alongside Raymond Sagayam, who has stepped down from the fund but remains with the company.
Pearce was most recently head of European credit at Pine River in London, having previously held the same role at hedge fund group Citadel Investment Group between 2005 and 2009.
He brings with him 20 years of investment experience and serves as a senior investment manager within Pictet’s total return credit team.
The PTR-Kosmos fund has €609 million in assets under management. It has lost 0.6% in euro terms over the three years to the end of July 2017 and sits 40th out of a 59-strong peer group, with the average fund in the sector having returned 2.4% over the same period.
