Pictet’s HY chief exits after credit teams combine

Pictet Asset Management's head of high yield, Roman Gaiser, has left the company amid a restructuring of bond functions, Citywire Switzerland's sister publication, Citywire Selector has learned.

A spokesperson for the asset manager confirmed that the investment grade and the high yield credit teams had been combined under Citywire + rated Frédéric Salmon, with Gaiser leaving as a result.

Gaiser managed the Pictet-EUR Short Term High Yield and Pictet-EUR High Yield funds with Prashant Agarwal and Alexander Baskov.  They remain with Pictet and will continue to run the funds.

The spokesperson for the asset manager confirmed that Pictet is looking for someone to fill Gaiser’s role.

Gaiser joined Pictet in February 2011 from Threadneedle where he ran the Threadneedle European High Yld Bd fund.

He also worked at F&C Asset Management and was a bond analyst at Bankgesellschaft Berlin.
