Asset management firm Schroders has made five hires for its fixed income global multi-sector team.
Joining the London-based team in June are Paul Grainger as a senior portfolio manager and Mads Nielsen as a quantitative strategist.
Grainger joins from Wellington Management where he was an associate partner and fixed income portfolio manager. Nielsen joins from GLG Partners where he worked on a number of macro and total return strategies.
They join managers David Gottlieb, Vincent Messina and Whitney Tindale, who were recruited in May. The trio were hired from Wave Asset Management, which they collectively founded in 2014.
The five will report to head of global macro Bob Jolly (pictured) who said: 'Expanding the depth of talent within Schroders’ Global Macro team is about diversifying our sources of alpha.
'Hiring people with different skills and approaches is a way of increasing the consistency of returns for our clients. We welcome Paul, Mads, David, Vince, and Whitney to the team.'
