One year on from the inaugural Alpha Female report, which investigated women’s role in fund management, Switzerland continues to rank among the lowest-scoring countries.
The report found that only 8% of managers running funds domiciled in Switzerland are female, compared to more than double that in France and Italy, where women make up 18% and 19% respectively.
Even so, Switzerland scores above Germany, where only 5% of managers running German-domiciled funds are women.
The report found that 92% of assets under management in Switzerland are run exclusively by a man or a male-only team – a staggering contrast to Spain’s 64%.
This is the first year that Switzerland has been included in the registered for sale analysis, which looks at the top female fund managers out of 15,316 managers ranked for their three-year risk-adjusted returns.
Here’s a closer look at the top ten female fund managers with funds registered for sale in Switzerland.
