Zurich-based Patrick Kolb takes first place in our ranking. Citywire AA-rated Kolb started his career at Credit Suisse in 2005 and has been managing the CS (Lux) Global Security Equity Fund since 2013.
The strategy has $623 million in assets under management and invests mainly in companies active in technology, healthcare and industrials.
The main sectors that the fund invests in are IT security (24.73%), environmental security (19.74%), crime prevention (19.65%), healthcare (18.84%), transportation safety (13.85%) and cash (3.19%).
The top three holdings are internet firm Wirecard, biotechnology company Thermo Fisher Scien and testing laboratories group Eurofins Scientific.
In June 2016, Kolb also started on the CS (Lux) Global Robotics Equity fund, which he co-manages with Angus Muirhead, who joined the strategy in May 2017.
The fund has recently reached $1 billion in assets under management and invests in companies with more than half of their revenues from robotics or automated systems.
Its top three holdings are 3D measurement, imaging and realisation technology company Faro Technologies, Accelerate Diagnostics and software producer Splunk.
