Fabian Stirnemann has taken over UBS' wealth management operations in the Zurich region, the firm has announced.
Stephan Stotz, meanwhile, is set to become the new director of the region on 1 October.
Previously both roles were assigned to Thomas Ulrich, who will shortly become head of governmental affairs at the firm.
Prior to his new role Stirnemann has been in charge of wealth management in central Switzerland since 2009.
He joined the firm in 2007, and over the past 10 years held several key roles in the executives, entrepreneurs and lawyers, trustees and notaries divisions.
Before joining UBS he focused on mergers and acquisitions and corporate banking at Credit Suisse, Ernst & Young and Hitz & Partner Corporate Finance.
Stirnemann's successor for the central Switzerland wealth management division will be named shortly.
The new director of the Zurich region, Stephan Stotz, has been with UBS for 20 years.
During his time at the firm he has been head of market and sales management of private and company clients in Switzerland, and most recently head of management office of corporate and institutional clients for the Zurich region.
