UBS WM names Swiss banker as head of German market

UBS Europe has appointed Swiss banker Barbara Rupf Bee as market head of UBS Wealth Management Germany.

Rupf Bee joined UBS from Deutsche Bank where she recently held the position of global client head of the Asset and Wealth Management divisions in Europe, the Middle East and Africa.

She will assume her new role as German market head on 1 August 2017, reporting to Thomas Rodermann, who has recently been promoted to head of UBS Wealth Management for on- and offshore banking in Germany and Austria.

Previously, Rupf Bee worked in the private banking industry at JP Morgan, HSBC and Julius Baer.

Commenting on the new hire, Rodermann said: ‘In her position as market head of Wealth Management Germany, she will play a key role in future implementation of our growth strategy in Germany. We will work closely together and further expand our consulting services for our customers.’
