Swiss asset manager Unigestion has appointed David Latto as a portfolio manager for its equities team, the company has announced.
Latto is based in Geneva and will report to Jean-François Clément, who is executive director and investment director within the equities team. Latto is also a member of the equity investment and research committee.
He joins Unigestion from UBS where he was an equity derivatives structurer. Prior to this, he worked at Nomura International where he was an equity exotics structurer and at Credit Agricole CIB where he worked as a flow and semi-exotics option trader.
Latto started his career in 2006 in the equity derivatives trading division at BNP Paribas Tokyo.
Commenting on the appointment, Unigestion’s managing director and head of equities Alexei Jourovski said: ‘David is an excellent addition to our burgeoning team, bringing in-depth knowledge of equity derivatives as we look to grow our expertise in dynamic equity risk budgeting.’
Earlier this year, Unigestion appointed two senior managers in London and Geneva to work on the cross asset solutions team.
