Zollikon wealth manager changes name to avoid confusion

A Zollikon-based wealth manager has changed its name to avoid confusion with a Swiss political party.

The firm previously known as European Value Partners (EVP) confirmed to Citywire Switzerland it has changed its name to Mensarius.

The rebranding was implemented to avoid confusion with Switzerland's Evangelische Volkspartei (EVP), which shares its initals with the firm's old name.

The wealth management firm was founded by Tom Stubbe Olsen in 2007, who was previously head of value funds at Nordea Investment Funds. There he managed the Nordea 1 - European Value Fund.

After the launch of his own firm he continued to manage the strategy as an external asset manager. Olsen is also in charge of the UI - EVP European Value Equities ex UK I fund.

According to the firm Mensarius refers to a financial adviser during the Roman Empire, and reflects the devotion of the firm to its fiduciary duty.
