Entrepreneur Partners has launched the ENPA Value Opportunity fund, which will be managed by new recruit Marcel Hermann, co-founder Daniel Müller told Citywire Switzerland.
This new fund will focus on value stocks – an area that has been neglected by investors in recent years.
''Over the past few years we've seen a steep outperformance for companies who have a very high growth profile. These stocks are expensive and there's risk for disappointment to that segment,' Müller said.
'People have really forgotten about the value universe. You have lots of companies with solid business models, they increase their EPS, revenues, and operating income every year. Their valuation is not very expensive, and we think there's opportunity in that universe.'
Müller said the fund should perform well if markets become more defensive.
The fund will have a concentrated portfolio, holding 20-25 stocks.
Finews first reported that the fund will be managed by Marcel Hermann, who previously worked at Braun as a senior portfolio manager for global equities.
