BlackRock has hired Mirjam Staub-Bisang as its new CEO for Switzerland and senior advisor to the firm's sustainable investing business.
She will work closely with the local leadership team to serve clients.
Staub-Bisang previously worked as CEO of Independent Capital Group, which she co-founded. Prior to that she worked at Commerzbank, Swiss Life and Quadrant in London and Zurich.
A spokesperson for BlackRock confirmed the news, which was first reported by Finews. Staub-Bisang will start in her new role on 1 November 2018.
Commenting on the appointment BlackRock's head of EMEA, Rachel Lord said: 'I am delighted to welcome Mirjam Staub-Bisang to BlackRock.
'This is a critical hire as we aim to deepen our commitment to clients in Switzerland and broaden our sustainable investing footprint in Europe. Our team will benefit enormously from Mirjam’s expertise and leadership.'
Bellevue Group announced Staub-Bisang's departure earlier today. She has been a member of the board of directors at Bellevue since 2015.
In March, Christian Staub, Switzerland country chief for BlackRock, left the company to join Fidelity International as managing director for continental Europe.
