The former head of investments at Pictet Wealth Management, Christophe Caspar, has joined Edmond de Rothschild Asset Management as deputy chief executive officer.
Citywire Selector exclusively revealed Caspar’s departure from Pictet WM at the start of the year. Cesar Perez Ruiz stepped in to oversee his former responsibilities.
Caspar had spent two years with Pictet, having joined from Russell Investments, where he was global CIO for EMEA and multi-asset solutions.
In his new capacity, Caspar, who joined EdRAM on 1 November, will be responsible for management practices, fostering the convergence of the group’s private banking and asset management arms.
Caspar is joined as deputy CEO by Gad Amar, who will be responsible for asset management sales. Both report to Vincent Taupin, global chief executive officer for asset management.
The appointments coincide with EdRAM’s plans to place its three specialised real estate subsidiaries under single management, as well as combining its private equity, real estate and asset management investment units to create an integrated investment offering for all asset classes.
