Mid-cap equity specialist Alexandre Voisin has quit La Banque Postale Asset Management to join rival French asset management firm Tocqueville Finance, Citywire Global understands.

Voisin formally joined the Paris-based investment firm at the start of October.

Upon joining Tocqueville, Voisin has immediately been assigned as a co-lead manager on three equity funds covering the French market, the eurozone and broader Europe.

This sees Voisin named alongside Nelly Davies on the Tocqueville Megatrends fund, a large-cap focused European equity fund. He will also work with Didier Roman on the Tocqueville Odyssee fund.

He replaces chief investment officer Daniel Fighiera on both funds. Fighiera had assumed a temporary role following the departure of  Thibault Moureu in July.

In addition, Voisin has been named as a fourth fund manager on the eurozone small and mid-cap equity fund Tocqueville PME. This is alongside Roman, Matthieu Tassy and Don Fitzgerald.

During his tenure with La Banque Postale, Voisin had been lead manager on three France-domiciled equity funds. These were the LBPAM Responsable Actions Environnement, the LBPAM Actions Midcap and the Actys 1 funds.

Prior to his tenure with LBPAM, Voisin had served as lead manager on the Actions Small Cap Europe fund at Crédit Agricole Asset Management.

La Banque Postale Asset Management has not revealed who has assumed responsibility for the funds following the departure of Voisin.
