Graubündner Kantonalbank (GKB) has launched a new equity fund, the bank has announced.
The new strategy, GKB (CH) Aktien Welt, invests in global stocks and is targeting investors with a long-term investment horizon.
The active stock selection of the strategy is based on the cantonal bank's systematic, quantitative evaluation model.
The fund will consist of 50 names and will be regularly rebalanced. Some of the core selection criteria are quality and valuation as well as the earnings performance of the companies.
Commenting on the launch, Dr. Martina Müller-Kamp, head of GKB Investment Center, said:
‘Over the last three years we have achieved above average returns when compared to similar portfolios and benchmarks.’
The bank is also planning to introduce GKB Vorsorgefonds in the second half of 2017.
The cantonal bank launched its first three funds in 2016. Those are GKB (CH) Aktien Schweiz, GKB (CH) Obligationen CHF and GKB (LU) Obligationen EUR, and together they have around CHF500 million under management.
GKB (CH) Aktien Schweiz has returned 7.29% in Swiss franc terms over the last six months. Its technical indicator, the Swiss performance index, has returned 8.49% over the same timeframe.
