Columbia Threadneedle has re-hired Roman Gaiser, this time as head of portfolio management for the London high yield group.
According to a press release, Gaiser will be managing several European high-yield mandates, including the Threadneedle European High Yield Bond fund.
Gaiser worked for Columbia Threadneedle as a senior investment manager between 2005 and 2011 before becoming head of high yield at Pictet Asset Management.
Gaiser worked for Pictet from 2011 to 2017, with news of his departure surfacing in September.
He will succeed Michael Poole in his new role, following Poole's decision to return to his family in the US. He will be working with a team of eight investors, led by Barrie Whitman, senior director of high yield bonds in EMEA.
