Geneva WM acquires Zurich firm

Geneva wealth management firm AS Investment Management has acquired Kaufmann Kapital.

According to a statement, the acquisition of the Zurich-based firm comes as part of an effort to 'strengthen AS Investment Management's position as a leader' in the Swiss wealth management industry.

Credit Suisse to split international WM unit into seven regions

Credit Suisse is splitting its wealth management unit into seven regions, up from four, according to reports from Bloomberg.

The change has been dubbed 'Project Momentum'. 

The new regions will be Latin America, Brazil, Western Europe, Southern Europe, the Middle East, Africa and Central and Eastern Europe, according to reports.

Asset manager hires two PMs as part of expansion

Zug-based asset manager Bantleon has boosted its portfolio management team with two new hires.

Susanne Linhardt has joined as a senior portfolio manager and will be responsible for the selection of infrastructure stocks. She previously worked at MEAG and RobecoSAM, where she focused on infrastructure, commodities and sustainability.

Zurich AM head steps down to focus on advice role

Peter Stocker, the head of VZ Asset Management, has stepped down from his role to focus on advising institutional clients at VZ Group, the firm has announced.

The board of directors has appointed Manuel Rütsche as his successor, effective from 1 September 2018. Rütsche had been working at VZ Group since 2004 and is CEO of its subsidiary, VZ Quant Portfolio Services. He is also in charge of rule-based wealth management at VZ.
