Société Générale (SocGen) has named Anne Marion-Bouchacourt as country head for Switzerland and general director of SG Zurich, the local entity which combines the firm's investment banking activities (SG CIB), the asset management branch, and the securities, global transaction and payment services.
Marion-Bouchacourt will be based in Zurich and will report to Thierry d’Argent, head of client relations and investment banking.
She replaces Hugues de La Marnierre, who has been named general director at SocGen China.
In the role, Marion-Bouchacourt will continue to develop the company’s activities in Switzerland and foster partnerships with the other arms of the business.
She previously worked as chief country officer for SocGen China. Her appointment will have retroactive effect from 1 October 2018.
