SYZ Asset Management has appointed Adrien Pichoud as chief economist and named him as a manager on two bond funds alongside CIO Fabrizio Quirighetti.
In his new capacity, Pichoud will co-manage the OYSTER European Fixed Income and OYSTER USD Bonds funds. Quirighetti has run the European fund since 2002, while the US fund was launched in December 2013.
Pichoud is currently a member of the strategy committee, which defines the group’s investment policy, as well as guiding the management teams of other multi-asset funds and institutional mandates in absolute return strategies.
Commenting on the new appointment, SYZ Asset Management’s CEO, Katia Coudray, said: ‘Adrien Pichoud’s skills as an economist greatly contribute to the quality of our investment strategy and the performance of our bond and multi-asset funds. This promotion demonstrates a strong internal progression confirmed by results.’
Before joining the SYZ Group as an economist in 2010, Pichoud spent seven years as an economist in a brokerage firm in Paris.
