UBP poaches AA-rated Axa IM head as convertibles chief

UBP has appointed AA-rated Marc Basselier (pictured) as its new head of convertible bonds, replacing current head Jean-Edouard Reymond who is set to leave the bank.

Basselier will focus on extending UBP’s offering in convertible bonds and will take up his new role on 1 December 2018.

Basselier previously worked at Axa Investment Managers, where he led a team managing global and European convertible bond strategies. Prior to that, he was a fund manager at Crédit Agricole for three years.

The bank has also announced that it has appointed Alice de la Morinière as a senior portfolio manager. De la Morinière previously worked at Axa Investment Managers as an investment specialist for European equities and convertible bonds. Before that role, she worked at Société Générale.
