BlackRock has appointed Ed Gordon as head of ETF and index investing for Switzerland. He will start his new role in November.
Gordon previously worked at UBS Israel, where he had been head of wealth management since 2014. Before that he worked at Credit Suisse and Lombard Odier, both in Zurich and New York.
Gordon replaces Christian Gast, who left the firm in July to lead Systematic Investment Management AG (Simag), a Zurich-based asset manager.
The hire is part of BlackRock’s plan to expand its iShares business in Switzerland, which has been growing since the asset manager acquired Credit Suisse’s ETF arm in 2013.
