VIDEO: QUAERO Capital PM on his latest value picks

In this video, Marc Saint John Webb, portfolio manager at QUAERO Capital, talks about how he has survived value's long-term underperformance. Overall, value has underperformed by 48% since December 2007, he says.

Here he explains how the fund's contrarian nature takes him to countries that are not doing well. He talks about his investments in Italy in January 2012, after the country came out on top during a screening basis of the worst performing markets for 2011.

Italian woodworking company Biesse has been a strong value story, according to Webb, as sales have grown 37% in the first quarter of this year.

Plus, we find out what all these top value stories have in common and what the tell-tale signs are for identifying them early.

Webb is a portfolio manager at the Geneva asset management boutique and runs the Argos Funds Argonaut fund, Quaero Funds (CH) - Swiss Small & Mid Cap fund and the Argos Funds Family Enterprise fund
