Former Oddo BHF AM portfolio manager Yann Lepape has joined the asset management arm of Vontobel, the latter announced in a statement.
He joined the Global Flexible team at the Swiss asset manager to contribute to the development of quantitative tools and models.
During his time at Oddo BHF, as well as serving as a portfolio manager for emerging market investments, Lepape was responsible for global macro analysis and asset allocation on the balanced fund range. He was also a member of the global investment committee.
Ludovic Colin, head of global flexible bonds at Vontobel Asset Management, said: ‘We are delighted to be reinforcing our Global Flexible resources with the arrival of a highly seasoned professional, Yann Lepape.
‘This is indeed timely as Yann’s arrival coincides with a volatility regime change in fixed income markets, when truly flexible strategies will become a cornerstone of fixed income portfolio allocations.’
Before joining Oddo BHF in 2007, Lepape worked as a financial counsellor at the French Treasury Department.
