Zug-based digital wealth manager Descartes Finance has hired Malcolm Dastur as its new adviser, the firm has announced.
The private banker joins from HSBC Switzerland and previously spent time during his career working for UBS and J.Safra Sarasin. There he provided family office services for clients as well as real estate advice.
Dastur will work in the company's Zurich office and will help Descartes Finance to set up expertise in real estate, which is a new territory for the firm.
The new recruit is part of the firm’s efforts to strengthen its hybrid model, which combines digital and personal advice.
The first step in this direction Descartes Finance made was in December 2017 with the hiring of Roger Levola as its first partner to provide personal wealth management.
