Zug-based digital wealth manager Descartes Finance has hired a Zurich-based independent asset manager to foster its new hybrid model, the firm has announced.
Roger Levola joins the firm as senior partner, providing personal wealth management advice for the firm.
The asset manager was previously an associate partner at Zurich-based Peak Values. Prior to that, he worked for Acrobis Investment Solutions and J. Safra Sarasin.
Levola will work from the new branch of the firm in Zurich at Stockerstrasse 54, combining personal and robo advice for the firm.
Descartes Finance is planning to build up the premium service with selected private bankers that have experience in the digital world.
Commenting on the recent expansion, Adriano Lucatelli, the founder of Descartes Finance, said:
‘We are combining digital and personal advice. The software and a human are working together, creating new customer experience.’
This is not the first time the firm has co-operated with an independent asset manager. In August, Descartes Finance and adviser Gerold Schlegel entered into partnership.
